ACEN 2012 was everything I hoped it would be and more! I had the most wonderful experiences, the best roommates, and an all around genuine good time. Being around such a positive group of individuals and the con atmosphere itself, really made me want to return next year. Friday my close friend Janell and I had a photoshoot with

for our mini Chrono Trigger group. She was one of the coolest photographers I've ever worked with. And our photos were just breathtaking. I'm so grateful we were able to meet such a great individual and have some really fantastic photos taken.
Unfortunately, I was unable to wear Freya. I broke my mask whilst I was sewing it onto my cap. But, that's okay! I would like the experience in hot foam latex for the future so I can make it a bit more realistic looking. Saturday was just crazy. Me, myself, and our dearest friend Ryan dressed up as Edea, Laguna, and Irvine from FF8. I was so excited! It was my bf's very first time wearing the Laguna costume I made for him. He really was a hit with everyone and the ladies loved him. Haha.
There was something that happened many times during the convention that really pulled on my heartstrings in a good way. Other cosplayers or random convention goers were asking to take photos WITH us instead of just by ourselves. It was something that had only happened a few times to me before and it was just a really heartfelt experience that I was able to be apart of. I met some many incredibly nice people this year. The atmosphere was better than at Youmacon last year and that's my home convention!

Next up is Colossalcon in a few weeks. Its my first time going. I will be able to see a lot more of my friends at this convention than I did at ACEN, so the excitement it building nonstop. I for sure have one new costume I'll be debuting (thank goodness it's summer friendly) with the possibility of another one that I've been working on and off on for a while. I would really like to make the effort to start posting progress pictures on here and possibility tutorials in the near future. I've had many people ask me about my make-up for Sorceress Edea and I was thinking it'd be fun and beneficial to create a tutorial to help out my fellow cosplayers. Take care everyone and I shall see you soon!
