My horns are better! by MidnightBluewing My horns are better! by MidnightBluewing
This was one of the funnest costumes I have ever worn! My red wig I orginially bought for Hobgoblin somehow got lost in the mail, so my only option was to wear this blue wig I had previously purchased from Arda. I still think it looks alright though! I also, altered some of the costume so it didn't look so um...well...skanky...lol. I made the top longer and made bloomers to wear under my sheer pants. I also tend to add my own little touches to my costumes. With this one I decided to wrap roping all around the horns and around my waist!

Hobgoblin - Me

It's always fun to add your own touches to things... I think it makes your costume even more awesome :3

Thank you babycakes! And I agree with you. It just makes it more part of YOU instead of just the character itself. I admire people that are 100% accurate, but I also like seeing those personal touches added to costumes. It's interesting to see how people interpret characters.

Agreed! I try to aim for accuracy, but I also understand that somethings won't look good on me EXACTLY as they are in the reference. For example, the jacket I'm currently working on, I added some seams in order to make the fit more flattering to my body type. It's also great to see all the different ways people do designs, like painting or applique or embroidery. The beauty of cosplay is that there really is no wrong way to do things :3 I know we've had this discussion, but I love to think about what fabrics would be available to the characters and make things really realistic
